Coda Lures TWIG "Brush" Jig
Coda LuresSmall Profile. Thick Cover. Full Control.
The Twig Brush Jig from Coda Lures was built for one job: getting in and out of cover cleanly while presenting a subtle, bite-sized profile that big bass can’t ignore. When fish tuck tight to cover and won’t chase, the Twig delivers a compact, natural look without compromising on power.
This jig features a streamlined, arrowhead-style head that slips through brush, laydowns, and vegetation with ease. Unlike bulkier jigs that hang or roll, the Twig's head shape maintains a low center of gravity and tracks straight during entry and retrieve.
A hand-tied wire skirt ensures long-lasting flare without slipping or shifting — even after repeated fish or hard flips into heavy cover. The shortened skirt profile is specifically designed to match compact trailers and keep the silhouette tight, giving a “real forage” look when fish are picky or the water’s clear.
At the core is a 3/0 Owner Jungle Hook, delivering heavy-duty holding power in a slightly smaller footprint, perfect for threading through tight structure. Its high hook-point angle increases hooksets, especially when fish bite short or in awkward cover geometry.
Available in 3/8 oz and 1/2 oz, the Twig is ideal for mid-to-shallow structure where precision placement, subtle entry, and durability matter.

Weight Options
3/8 oz – Ideal for shallow laydowns, shade lines, and pitching docks
1/2 oz – Better for deeper brush piles, denser vegetation, and longer falls into pockets
Short-Range Flipping
Use the Twig to pitch directly into vertical structure like stumps, dock posts, or submerged brush. The compact skirt and slim trailer pairing create minimal splash and fast fall-through. Pair with a Barracuda Baits chunk or beaver-style bait for controlled descent and clean exits.
Laydown Crawling
Cast past the cover, then slowly crawl or hop the Twig back through branch angles. The football-keel back and head shape reduce roll and help maintain skirt flare. A Barracuda finesse craw or compact creature enhances the subtle thump without overextending the silhouette.
Clear Water & Post-Front Conditions
The Twig’s reduced bulk and wire-tied construction create a more natural visual and softer fall. Rig it with a Barracuda Baits flapper or twin-tail to maximize movement without overpowering the jig’s frame.
Barracuda Baits Pairing Suggestions
Compact Chunks – Maintain balance and provide kick on short pitches
Finesse Craws – Natural look with subtle appendage action
Beaver-Style Creatures – Excellent for punching through brushy overheads
Flat-Profile Flappers – For stop-and-go retrieves around isolated wood
Each pairing keeps the Twig’s silhouette compact while enhancing motion, letting you fish clean and convincingly in high-pressure or heavy-cover situations.
